The Mpls Henrys at The Whistler

Jai and Brandon of the Mpls Henrys rocking out.

The Minneapolis Henrys (my close friend Brandon's band) rocked out at the Whistler a couple weeks ago. It was a fun show. They had a ton of energy. Check out my photographs of the event by clicking the photo above or here.

You can check them out on Facebook or listen to some of their songs on MySpace.

Austin SXSW - Part IV - Day Three

Saturday was our final day in Austin for SXSW and we were very busy. The day included seeing Vivian Girls, Karen Elson and Best Coast. It was a pretty incredible experience, especially getting to meet the Vivian Girls and we even helped them carry their equipment a mile or two back to their van. Then we all went to see Best Coast together. Apparently, they are friends with each other (when I recently saw Best Coast at Schuba's in Chicago the Vivian Girls' drummer Ali Koehler was filling in). It turned out to be a great day and a fitting end to our South By Southwest adventure.

Photographers - The Mustache Song

My friend Maren Hoopfer (Facebook) has a band called the Photographers. In the band with her is John Hanson on guitar and Dan Mills on percussion. I just heard a song by them and it was my first listen. I like it a lot and wanted to share it with you. I really love the band name they've chosen and it lets me get away with posting the video while still feeling it connects with my readers. I love it! (By the way, the video is in HD and looks amazing!) Video: Photographers perform “The Mustache Song”

iPhone Ringtones

I made my iPhone ring town. This one is a clip from Ratatat's "Dura." It's a fun track, perfect for setting the mood for certain callers.

The second I altered was "Leyendecker" by Battles. Another great track sure to set your phone on fire!

Be sure to check out the rest of the site. There are some great ones on there such as The Legend of Zelda's theme music and even the Pulp Fiction theme song. Let me know how they work out for you!
